Dah Hsian Seetoo Library 「達賢圖書館」
This is an intellectual hub of the campus where NCCU students, faculty and staff can meet, study and collaborate. It provides a wonderful space that encourages engagement, stimulates learning, and creates a sense of community for the entire NCCU family. It is an open, flexible and inviting place for students to gather and study, or to interact with faculty members and others.
2F Self Service Book Drop Machine:
Outside the library lobby gate, next to the elevator is a self-service book drop machine, with a system that automatically classifies the returned books according to their assigned locations.

2F Reserved Items Area
Most of the collections are managed by the library’s RFID system. Users can find their requested items using a query machine and smart bookshelves, and borrow them through self-checkout machines.
3F Learning Commons:
This is a place where people can exchange opinions, be creative, share, and learn together. The library has plenty of learning resources, digital equipment and a comfortable environment. It is ideally suited to stimulating learning commons.
The third floor is an open-plan area, containing about 80 seats with adjustable desks and chairs on wheels, as well as wall-mounted screens and mobile whiteboards. No reservation or room booking is required to use this area. Whether there are two or five people, laptops can be brought here at any time to discuss schoolwork and share learning experiences.
4F Information Classrooms:
There are three classrooms of 42 computers, with both A4 and A3 scanners, and coin-operated printing machines. There is free access to computers for NCCU staff and students. Seats in the classrooms are selected using an NCCU ID on the seat selection system at the entrance of each classroom. All seats are available except when scheduled courses or workshops are being held.
4F Multimedia Creative Learning Space:
Various types of audio-visual seats, the creative exhibition room, and the video production room are located here. There are also information classrooms to support the use of digital and multimedia resources.
Please consult the information desk on the 4th floor if you encounter problems with equipment in the meeting rooms, seat booking or computers in the information classrooms, equipment in the multimedia space (including audio-visual seats and rooms), the creative exhibition room or the video production room, finding and borrowing materials, or any other matters.
Audio-visual Seats:
After borrowing the public screening licensed audio-visual materials from the information desk, users can choose their seat via the booking system. No reservation is required.
Audio-visual Room:
Each one of the two audio-visual rooms is suitable for 3 to 10 people. Online reservations are made via the room-booking system. Students can only watch public screening licensed audio-visual materials of the library.
5F Maker Space:
The maker space encourages “learning by doing” and provides a place where creative ideas can be connected with hands-on learning experiences. The maker space is located on the 5th floor, and the opening hours are from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00.
7-8F Multifunctional Conference Space:

8F Group Study Carrels:
Each room provides a set of study carrels for 4 to 12 people, with a total capacity of 70 seats. Rooms 832 to 834 are monthly seats, and rooms 835 to 839 are daily seats. Graduate and doctoral students can make an online reservation for group study carrels using the room-booking system.
Lakeside Reading House:
The Lakeside Reading House contains about 295 seats in total. Both floors are equipped with a seat booking system and an access control system.
NCCU faculty members and students can use their library cards to select a seat, and swipe their card to enter the gate. No reservation is required. This place provides a comfortable environment and natural scenery to help students and staff to relax and refresh themselves after long hours of studying.
The 2nd floor of the Lakeside Reading House is the designated quiet area and electronic devices such as laptops are not allowed.
There are lockers for rent on the first and 2nd floor. Rent for one academic year is NT$ 800 (lockers at the bottom are available for a discounted rate of NT$ 600).
